After the announcement of demonetisation, a large number of quality companies were available 30-40% cheaper than what they were trading before. These were Eicher Motors, HDFC Bank, Tata Steel, Mahindra & Mahindra, and Larsen & Toubro. He stayed away from defensives and enhanced exposure to companies which captured the consumer discretionary theme quite well. These include Bajaj Finance and Chola Finance.
